Resolution Contracting was engaged to deliver a tailored maintenance and upgrade package for a home in Dairy Flat. The homeowner was heading overseas for an extended period and needed essential repairs completed beforehand. Referred by a neighbour after we successfully handled a complex insurance repair nearby, the client came to us after struggling to find a reliable contractor.

On inspection, the property presented several issues: worn and outdated shutter hinge hardware affecting functionality and security, signs of water ingress around selected door and window openings, interior plaster damage that needed attention before future decorating, and a list of smaller maintenance items across doors and outdoor fixtures to ensure the home was safe and secure during the owner’s absence.

We worked with the client to prioritise the most urgent tasks and schedule works efficiently ahead of travel. Our team designed and manufactured custom shutter hinge locks and latch bolts to suit the home’s aesthetic and withstand the elements. We installed temporary scaffolding for safe access, supplied and fitted bespoke door and window flashings to mitigate water ingress (trialling an initial installation first), and completed internal plaster repairs. To minimise disruption, we coordinated additional maintenance in a single visit, including bi-fold door track bearing replacements, French door hardware repairs, and pool diving board fixings.

The project was delivered on time and to a high standard, giving the homeowner confidence that their property was secure, functional, and well maintained while they were away. A second phase was scheduled to complete the remaining flashing installations once the client returned.
