Full Flood Remediation in Gulf Harbour
Case Studies
Full internal strip-out, decontamination, repair, and reinstatement following a black water event
Resolution Contracting was engaged directly by the homeowner to remediate a serious black water event in a three-storey townhouse. Although the incident had occurred over a year earlier, the damage remained unresolved and was impacting the family’s health and wellbeing. We prioritised assessing the full extent of contamination, prepared detailed building reports, and provided practical advice so the insurer could understand the scope and urgency. Once approved, we were engaged to deliver a focused four-week programme.
Our role covered a complete internal strip-out of water-affected materials and coordination of black water decontamination, followed by reinstatement of ceilings and wall linings, and a full internal redecoration. We supplied and installed new kitchen cabinetry with an engineered stone benchtop, new appliances, and LED lighting, along with new laminate and carpet floor finishes to restore durability and amenity.
Access and safety were tightly managed. We installed scaffold in stairwell voids to enable high-level painting and finishing, and sequenced trades to minimise disruption and maintain quality control. Final detailing ensured a “better-than-before” finish across all interior spaces.
The result was a clean, compliant, and comfortable home—delivered on time, with empathy and care. The family regained peace of mind and a long-overdue return to normal life, underscoring our client-first approach to complex reinstatement work.
