A fallen tree sent high-voltage electricity into a family home, igniting the roof void and causing extensive fire and water damage to the upper level. Engaged by the insurer as principal contractor, we delivered a fully managed repair covering make-safe, consent, structural remediation, and full internal reinstatement. We secured the site with scaffold and shrink-wrap, strapped ceilings, handled asbestos testing, and fast-tracked engineering assessments and building consent. Demolition and rebuild included dry-ice blasting and smoke-sealing remaining timbers, reconstructing the roof with new trusses and purlins, a full Colorsteel Maxam re-roof, and reinstating ceilings, walls, and finishes. We also completed a full electrical rewire with new fixtures, plumbing reinstatement (including hot water), and professional cleaning, odour removal, carpet treatment, and contents return.

Originally forecast at nine weeks, we streamlined approvals and accelerated sequencing to finish in six—getting the family home for Christmas. Throughout, we managed structural risks, compressed consent timelines, protected undamaged areas, and coordinated multiple trades and suppliers without compromising safety or quality. The home was restored to pre-event condition with a seamless finish, delivering a fast, low-stress outcome that was deeply appreciated by the owners.
